The College/Career Indicator (CCI) includes both college and career measures to evaluate how well districts and schools are preparing students for success after high school. The CCI for the 2017 Dashboard is based on students in the four-year graduation cohort for comprehensive high schools. (Dashboard Alternative School Status [DASS] schools did not receive a Dashboard report in 2017.)

Due to the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) reporting timelines, the Class of 2017 graduation data were not available for the 2017 CCI. Furthermore, the graduating Class of 2015 and 2016 could not be compared to determine performance colors for the CCI because a federal audit required the Department to revise the business rules to calculate the Class of 2016 four-year cohort graduation rate. Therefore, only Status was reported on the 2017 Dashboard based on Class of 2016 graduation data.

This report displays the number and percent of students that met each of the measures in the CCI Prepared and Approaching Prepared Levels. Students can meet more than one measure in each CCI level. As a result, the tables contain duplicative counts.

More information on the CCI measures is provided in the Dashboard Technical Guide located on the California School Dashboard and System of Support Web page..
