For districts that have both Dashboard Alternative School Status (DASS) and comprehensive (i.e., non-DASS) schools, the graduation rate is based on both the combined four- and five-year graduation rate and the DASS grade 12 graduation rate. Districts with only comprehensive (i.e., non-DASS) schools have a graduation rate based on the combined four- and five-year graduation rate. County offices of education with only DASS schools have a graduation rate based on the DASS grade 12 graduation rate.

• Number of Students in the Graduation Rate: This field reflects the number of students in the denominator of the graduation rate.
  • For the combined four- and five-year graduation rate, the denominator includes the number of students in the Class of 2021 plus students from the Class of 2020 who graduated in their fifth year.
  • For the DASS graduation rate, the denominator includes the number of students who graduated in 2020-21 plus students in grade 12 who did not graduate in 2020-21.

• Number of Graduates: This field reflects the number of students in the numerator of the graduation rate.
  • For the combined four- and five-year graduation rate, the numerator includes the number of students in the Class of 2021 who graduated with a regular high school diploma plus fifth-year graduates (see definition below).
  • For the DASS graduation rate, the numerator includes the number of students who met the DASS graduation rate criteria and graduated at the end of 2020-21.

• Number of Fifth-Year Graduates: This field reflects the fifth-year graduates from the combined graduation rate. These are students from the Class of 2020 who graduated in their fifth year at the end of 2020-21 with a regular high school diploma.

• Graduation Rate: This field is the result of dividing the "Number of Graduates" by the "Number of Students in the Graduation Rate".
